With a number of public holidays in March and April, prepare a plan to manage your employees' leave balances.
The Easter public holidays are coming up at the end of March. The national public holidays over this period are:
- Good Friday - Friday 29th March
- Easter Saturday - Saturday 30th March
- Easter Monday - Monday 1st April.
25th April is a nationally recognised public holiday commemmorating Anzac Day and falling on a Thursday this year. Many staff are likely to request Friday 26th as a leave day, so be prepared to ensure you have adequate cover for your business or use it as an opportunity to have employees reduce their leave balances by taking an extra day or two.
Additionally, Monday 11th March is a public holiday for the Australian Capital Territory, South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania.
