On 14th July 2010, an updated version of the Fair Work Information Statement was released.

The Fair Work Information Statement (FWIS) must be provided to new employees before, or as soon as reasonably possible, after they start employment. An updated version was released on 14th July 2010 incorporating the indexed salary for the high income threshold.  Download the updated version.

Employers should keep a record of the date that the FWIS is provided to an employee and the manner in which it is provided.eg whther it is handed personally to the employee, emailed or mailed.

It is essential that all employers are aware of this requirement to provide the Fair Work Information Statement to all new employees.
