Daylight Saving Recommences 5th October 2008

Just a reminder that daylight saving re-commences in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania, and the Australian Capital Territory on Sunday 5 October 2008, at 2am when clocks are put forward one hour. This follows legalisation passed in 2007 to synchronise daylight saving in the south eastern states and ACT to provide uniformity for business activities.

For Western Australia, daylight saving in 2008 will begin at 2am Western Standard Time on the last Sunday in October.

Daylight saving ends for NSW, Victoria, SA, Tasmania and ACT on Sunday 5 April 2009, at 3am summer time when clocks are put back one hour. WA will conclude daylight saving on the last Sunday in March, 2009

Queensland and the Northern Territory do not observe daylight saving.
