Updated Fair Work Information Statement - 1 July 2013

The Fair Work Information Statement has been updated, effective 1 July 2013, and includes a significant change to the NES.

This new Fair Work Information Statement (FWIS) incorporates the changes to flexible work arrangements which were passed into law at the end of June. It also contains the indexed salary for the high income threshold, which was detailed in our June newsletter. A copy of the updated FWIS can be downloaded from our website.

Just a reminder that under the National Employment Standards, employers must give every new employee a Fair Work Information Statement before, or as soon as possible after, a new employee starts working for them.

Employers should keep a record of the date that the FWIS is provided and whether it is handed personally to the employee, emailed or mailed.
